City of Newaygo issued the following announcement on Oct 26.

Request for Bid:  Water Line Inventory Project

Due:  January 20, 2022 at 11am.  

Submit to: Newaygo City Manager Jon Schneider at 28 State Rd, PO Box 308, Newaygo MI 49337 or email to jons@newaygocity.org.

Services Required:  The City of Newaygo will be accepting bids for excavating and exposing a portion of 131 water service lines to homes and businesses.  See scope of work.  

Overview of project:

In order to improve the health of the citizens of the State of Michigan, the State has regulations that require public water systems to visually inventory the different pipe types that are a part of its water system.  The inventory is used to make necessary improvements over subsequent years.  This project will allow the City to complete its required pipe inventory.

It is desired to have the project completed by December 31, 2023.  Selected contractor must not be debarred and will be required to sign a contract and be licensed and insured according to the contract.  Copies of contract are available upon request.

Proposal must include:

1) Total cost to complete work described in the scope of work.

2) Timeline to complete the work.

3) Proof of insurance.
