State Representative Curt VanderWall has been elected to a leadership position in the Michigan House of Representatives. VanderWall, a Republican from Ludington, will serve as an Associate Speaker Pro Tempore for the 2025-26 legislative session.

VanderWall expressed his gratitude for the appointment, stating, “I am honored to be selected by my peers to assume this leadership role. I look forward to continuing to work alongside them to advance policies that matter to Michigan residents.”

In his new role, VanderWall will have responsibilities that include assisting in presiding over House sessions, maintaining order during debates, and ensuring legislative procedures are followed.

Representing Michigan’s 102nd District, which covers parts of Manistee, Mason, Oceana, and Muskegon Counties, VanderWall continues to prioritize policies supporting families and small businesses.
