It's never too late to start a change! The St. Clair Shores Senior Center (50+) has a Fitness Center with industrial fitness equipment and it's included in your membership! They also have plenty of variety when it comes to fitness classes like chair programs, water programs, yoga and total body training.
If exercise isn't your thing (no judgement here), the center has plenty of other social programs to get involved in.
