City of Midland offices and most non-emergency services will be closed Friday, December 23 and Monday, December 26 in recognition of the Christmas holiday and Monday, January 2, 2023 in recognition of the New Year's holiday.
Residents with Friday, December 23 refuse and Friday Week 3 recycling collection should place items at the curb on Thursday, December 22 (one day earlier). Residents with Monday, December 26 refuse and Monday Week 4 recycling collection should place items at the curb on Tuesday, December 27 (one day later). Residents with Monday, January 2 refuse and Monday Week 1 recycling collection should place items at the curb on Tuesday, January 3 (one day later). Place items at the curb no later than 7:30 a.m. to ensure collection.
The Grace A. Dow Memorial Library will close at 5 p.m. on Thursday, December 22 and remain closed through Monday, December 26. It will reopen for regular operating hours on Tuesday, December 27 and will be closed on Monday, January 2. MCTV Network offices and studio located in the lower level of the Library will follow this schedule.
The City’s Sanitary Landfill will be open from 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Friday, December 23; Monday, December 26; and Monday, January 2, 2023.
Dial-A-Ride Transportation service (DART) will be open regular phone and bus service hours on Friday, December 23 and Monday, December 26.DART will be open Saturday, December 24 with regular phone hours (8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.) and reduced bus service hours (7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.) with last pick-up time at 5:30 p.m. Phone and bus services will be closed on Sunday, December 25 and Sunday, January 1. DART will observe regular phone and bus service hours on Monday, January 2.
The Midland Civic Arena will be closed on Saturday, December 24 and Sunday, December 25 for Christmas, but will be open regular business hours on Friday, December 23; Monday, December 26; and Monday, January 2.
