Commission Room Audio/Video Project

The City of Big Rapids is accepting proposals for an Audio/Video Project for the Commission Chambers at Big Rapids City Hall, 226 North Michigan Avenue, Big Rapids, MI 49307.

Project Scope: Upgrade the existing audio/video system that is currently located in the Commission Room.  Please click here for the full bid.

The project will include the following:

  • Removal of all existing audio equipment
  • Removal of existing ceiling speakers
  • Installation of new ceiling speakers
  • Installation of control hardware for the system in a centralized hub room located within the building.
  • Installation of a touch panel in the Commission Room for the audio/video controls
  • Installation of new 23-inch gooseneck microphones at the Commission Table
  • Installation of a ceiling microphone for audience audio
  • Setup of audio/video to allow for recording and simultaneous streaming to platform of our choosing.
  • Installation of cameras for meeting recording/streaming.
  • Configuration of all system functions.
  • Training necessary staff in the administration of the system.

All proposals shall be clearly marked “Commission Chambers Audio/Video Project”.

Proposals will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 21st, 2022 in the City Treasurer’s Office, Attn Ashley Dunkel, 226 N. Michigan Avenue, Big Rapids, MI 49307.

The City of Big Rapids reserves the right to accept or reject all or any bids or to waive informalities, and to award the bid in any manner deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
