The CBPU Celebrates Public Utilities Week, Oct. 2 - 8

Coldwater, Mich. (28 Sept. 2022) – The Coldwater Board of Public Utilities (CBPU) is celebrating Public Power Week, Oct. 2-8, along with more than 2,000 other community-powered, not-for-profit electric utilities that collectively provide electricity to 49 million Americans. However, because the CBPU provides a variety of utility services to the community, the CBPU has decided to recognize Public Power Week as Public Utilities Week. Offering electric, water, wastewater, and telecommunications, the CBPU provides safe, reliable, and affordable utility services to the City of Coldwater.

The CBPU invites community members to celebrate Public Utilities Week by stopping by the Henry L. Brown Municipal Building and collecting an Energy Efficiency bag* and sharing material from its digital Public Utilities week campaign to your social platforms. The CBPU is proud to serve the City of Coldwater and invites you to join them as they celebrate their utility services throughout Public Utilities week.

*Certain restrictions apply. Limit of 1 bag per CBPU customer. Items in bag may vary. Available on a first-come, first-serve basis from Oct. 3 - 7th at the Henry L. Brown Municipal Building. While supplies last.

Public Power Week is an annual national observance coordinated by the American Public Power Association. The American Public Power Association is the voice of not-for-profit, community-owned utilities that power 2,000 towns and cities nationwide. The Association represents public power before the federal government to protect the interests of the more than 49 million people that public power utilities serve, and the 93,000 people they employ. It advocates and advises on electricity policy, technology, trends, training, and operations. Its members strengthen their communities by providing superior service, engaging citizens, and instilling pride in community-owned power. More at www.PublicPower.org
