Volunteer organization Niles Neighbors will host their Day of Action on Saturday, August 20, from 9:30am-5:00pm. Organizers hope this event will assist elderly and/or disabled Niles residents in Wards 1 and 3 with small projects that need to be done around their home. Organizers plan to assist Wards 2 and 4 in the fall.
This event is geared toward outdoor projects like decluttering, painting, shrub removal, lawn mowing, etc. Organizers have advised that, while they want to assist as many residents as possible, each undertaking will be assessed for size and scope of project.
