Fort St. Joseph Archaeology Project Open House THIS WEEKEND!

Niles boasts plenty of different sites that are sure to dazzle residents and visitors alike.  One of those sites, Fort St. Joseph, is unique in that it has been controlled by four different nations in its time - France, Great Britain, Spain, and America.  This rich history provides the perfect escape for history buffs and archaeologists.

Want to see Fort St. Joseph and its dig site? Now's your chance!  You and your family can stop by the corner of Fort and Bond and take a journey to the past on August 6 & 7 from 10:00am-4:00pm.  See the living history village and speak with French villagers to see just what life was like during the fort's heyday, take a ride in a replica birch bark canoe, and ask an archaeologist all your pressing questions.

For more information, check out the flyer below. We'll see you there!
