Residents Invited to Share Ideas for Riverfront Redevelopment

Meeting909

The City of Midland and Downtown Development Authority invite residents to help reimagine the future of the Downtown Midland riverfront during a community input meeting to ‘Reimagine the Riverfront’ on Thursday, June 23 from 6 – 7:30 p.m.

The session will be held in Council Chambers of Midland City Hall, 333 W. Ellsworth Street, and will include an overview presentation from architect consulting firm PM Blough, Inc. and a brainstorming session to share ideas for future uses, amenities, and activities that could be created along the north side of the Tittabawassee River from the Poseyville Bridge to M-20.

During the input session, attendees will be asked questions including “What do you like about the current riverfront?”, “What new things or activities would make you visit the river area more often?”, “How can we create year-round activity along the riverfront?”, and more. Input gathered from this meeting will be used to create initial design concepts and programming ideas for future development along the river.

Residents who cannot attend in person can participate via the chat feature on the Zoom video conference platform using the following methods:
