Hart Public School District issued the following announcement on Mar 16.
Promesa Summer Success is a free, eight-week program for rising juniors and seniors in high school. Students can earn up to seven college credits over the summer through Ferris State University. Promesa Summer Success could also aid members with scholarships.
This program combines academics and college preparation with the cultural experiences of the students, the instructors, and the community. Success requires people to know the cultural resources that exist within and around them. This understanding will create the leaders of our community, today and tomorrow. Students must have a 2.5 High School GPA or higher and a 400 Math PSAT/SAT Score.
The program runs June 20th-August 11th at Shelby High School Monday-Thursday 5:30pm-8:00pm. The program also includes field trips and a two night stay at FSU. Application deadline is April 30, 2022.
