City of Big Rapids recently issued the following announcement.
The City of Big Rapids is requesting sealed Bids for the construction of the Rust Avenue Extension. Bids for the construction of the Project will be received in the office of City Treasurer, 226 N. Michigan Avenue, Big Rapids, MI 49307, until 2:30 pm local time, Monday, March 14, 2022.
The Project includes the extension of Rust Avenue approximately 300 feet to the west. Work involves 6-inch watermain, 8-inch sanitary sewer, sand subbase, aggregate base, concrete curb and gutter, HMA surfacing, restoration, and all related work.
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: City of Big Rapids, Contact Cody Wyman, Telephone (231) 349-2060.
Prospective Bidders may request the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bids will be accepted only from Plan Holders of Record. In order to be a Plan Holder of Record Bidding Documents must be obtained from the Issuing Office.
Bidding Documents will be emailed in portable document format (PDF) at no charge.
The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents.
For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents.
The City of Big Rapids reserves the right to accept any bid, reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and make the award in any manner deemed in the best interest of the City of Big Rapids.
