Newaygo Area District Library issued the following announcement on Jan 25.
Newaygo Library 2022 Summer Reading T-Shirt Design Contest is now open!
This contest is open to children ages K - 12.
This year our theme is "Oceans of Possibilities".
The shirts will be for the Children's Summer reading shirts. The Teens will have another cool option for when they finish.
1. Create your original design in black and white.
2. Bold lines work best. Use black pens or Sharpie Markers in your final design. (Please erase pencil marks.)
3. The 2022 theme is: Oceans of Possibilities!
4. Include a book in your design. It does not have to include a person.
5. Keep in mind that the color of the t-shirt will show through the spaces of your design.
6. Draw your original artwork in black and white on a separate 81/2” x 11” white sheet and return it with this entry form.
7. Turn in your design to Mrs. Hurrle at Newaygo Public Schools or to a member of the staff at the Newaygo Area District Library by March 31st!
The winning designs will be announced by April 11, 2022.
PRIZES:
• 1st Place Design Winner receives: $20 gift card and their artwork published on Children’s Summer Reading T-shirts
• Runner Up Design Winner receives: $10 gift card
