City of Midland issued the following announcement on Jan 21.

The Midland Community Television (MCTV) Network is offering media creator workshops to residents and nonprofit organizations located in Midland County.

At these workshops, attendees will learn how MCTV can help share a story to inform, communicate, educate, and entertain the community. In just one session, participants will learn how to get started with producing a TV show, creating an audio podcast, putting a video creation on YouTube, and serving the community by volunteering with MCTV.

Workshops will be held on the following dates and times in February:

  • Wednesday, February 2 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, February 3 from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Pre-registration is required. Register by calling 837-3474. Cost is $45, which includes the $20 workshop fee and a full year MCTV User membership for $25. To use the MCTV Network, users must be a resident of the City or County of Midland over the age of 12 or represent a non-profit agency within the County of Midland.

Due to COVID restrictions in City facilities, enrollment will be limited. Participants will be expected to wear a facial covering and observe physical distance requirements. Please inform MCTV staff prior to attending if you are feeling ill to reschedule your workshop.
