City of Scottville issued the following announcement on Dec 14.
This morning Shelby State Bank Assistant Vice President Keely Moon & Vice President/Commercial Lender John Raven presented Joe Knowles; chairperson of the Scottville Optimist Park & Sculpture Fund Raising Campaign; a check in support of the project. "With a donation of $5000 Shelby State Bank stepped forward to support the ongoing fundraising efforts and this is just another step closer to the project getting physically under way." said Joe. "Shelby State Bank is a fantastic community partner and we appreciate them stepping forward with such a generous contribution for Scottville!" The goal of $500,000 is moving along well with a current total exceeding $218,000.
