County of Oceana issued the following announcement on Dec 8.
Over the past few weeks, the Oceana County Board of Commissioners reviewed 240 designs for the first ever County Flag Design Contest. The contest was sponsored by the Oceana County Administrator and did not use any public funds — only private donations to support the contest and the awarding of prizes.
The winning design was chosen by commissioners. The honorable mention designs were chosen by the county administrator but some of them represented commissioner finalists as well.
