City of Big Rapids recently issued the following announcement.
Sealed Bids will be received by City of Big Rapids in the Treasurer’s Office located at 226 N. Michigan Avenue, Big Rapids, MI 49307 until 2:00 p.m. local time, Monday, November 8, 2021, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Bids will be accepted for the following construction contracts:
Contract A Pickleball Courts
Contract B Basketball Courts
Contract C Tennis Courts
Contract D Kayak Launch
Items of work include HMA pavement removal, miscellaneous removals, soil erosion control measures, earthwork and grading, aggregate base, sand subbase, perforated underdrain 4-inch, concrete sidewalk 4-inch, concrete court paving 5- inch, black vinyl fencing, basketball court goal, tennis court nets, pickleball nets, court acrylic color surfacing, kayak launch, rip-rap surface restoration, and all related work.
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Fleis & VandenBrink Engineering, Inc. located at 2960 Lucerne Drive SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546: Telephone (616) 977-1000.
Bids will be accepted only from Plan Holders of Record. In order to be a Plan Holder of Record Bidding Documents must be obtained from the Issuing Office.
Bidding Documents are available to be emailed in portable document format (PDF) at no charge.
The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of
Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
