City of Newaygo issued the following announcement on Sept 16.

Attention travelers - Penoyer Creek Bridge Closing!
The Penoyer Creek Bridge will be closed on Monday, September 20th from 7:00 am through 7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 21st. Those traveling Northbound and Southbound M-37 and needing to head west towards Fremont, will need to take Old M-37/Evergreen to M-82 West (this road is located north of the City, just past Resonate Church on the left hand side). Those coming from the West/Fremont Area will need to detour to the left (Evergreen Rd), just before the bridge and follow the signs to M-37. The pedestrian walkway will remain open.
