County of Oceana issued the following announcement on Aug 30.
Under the general direction of the County Administrator, serve as a coordinator for economic development initiatives by providing a creative approach in promoting and developing economic programs for Oceana County. The position is expected to work collaboratively with other entities in the county or region (i.e., Oceana County Economic Alliance and West Michigan Shoreline Regional Development Commission) to promote Oceana County.
County activities aligned with economic development that the position will be involved with include the American Rescue Plan, brownfield redevelopment authority, Community Development Block Grant home repair program, administration/fiduciary for specialized grants linked to economic development (i.e., Pentwater-Hart Non-Motorized Trail Project, Shelby Township Community Park), and related areas. Acts as a liaison between the County Administrator and various stakeholders, including elected and appointed officials, employees, businesses, and the general public.
