“We are thrilled that so many of our residents who have a compromised immune system are getting their third shot. As we have from the beginning of the pandemic, we want to make sure every Detroiter has access to this life-saving vaccine,” said Chief Public Health Officer, Denise Fair. “As we continue to watch the data and see the spread of the Delta variant, we want to make sure we are doing everything we can to keep the residents of our city safe.”

Any Detroiter who is immunocompromised and received their second dose of Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine at least 28 days prior is eligible for the third shot.

The City will also begin providing booster shots for all fully vaccinated Detroiters on September 20 six months following completion of their second dose of either Pfizer or Moderna.

All eligible Detroiters can make an appointment to get vaccinated in their own home, including the third dose.  To make an appointment for any of our vaccination sites, call 313-230-0505 or log onto Detroitmi.gov/Health to schedule an appointment online. Walk-ins are also available.
