West Michigan Transportation issued the following announcement on Oct. 27.
Through the generosity of the member businesses and organizations, St. Joseph Today was able to donate 600 Halloween treat bags to the Boys and Girls Club of Benton Harbor, the Benton Harbor Public Library and Spectrum Lakeland Health.
Amy Zapal, executive director at St. Joseph Today, says, “We were fortunate enough to partner with SJT members this year to coordinate a community donation to some amazing organizations.” Zapal goes on to say, “Through this coordinated effort we were able to collect 18,700 pieces of candy and 800 items – Halloween themed stickers, pencils, temporary tattoos, spider rings and more.”
