65TH ANNUAL LUDINGTON OPTIMIST YOUTH CHESS TOURNAMENT

Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. with Games beginning promptly at 10:00 a.m.
Trophies will be awarded to the four top ranking chess players in each separate division.

DESCRIPTION
Chess tournament open to all students in the elementary, middle and high school levels. The Optimist Club of Ludington will sponsor its 65th annual, regional Optimist Youth Chess Tournament. The Chess games will start promptly at 10:00 a.m. and you can compete for prizes and trophies. Chess Tournament play will continue on a TIMED SCHEDULE basis, 3 games before lunch and 2 after lunch, until five scheduled games have been completed in a round robin format. The winners in each division will be announced after the completion of all tournament match play in the afternoon. We will have pizza delivered for lunch.
High School Division - Grades 9-12
Middle School Division - Grades 6-8
Upper Elementary Division - Grades 4-5
Lower Elementary Division - Grades K-3
