Name: Fall Color Paddling Trip on the Chip
Date: Sunday, October 20, 2019 at 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM EDT
3 days from now · 7–18°C Mostly Sunny
Location: Chippewa Watershed Conservancy
Details
Join us for a fall paddle down the Chippewa River.
Late October is a great time to be on the river! The crowds of summer are gone. The air is cool but the water is still (relatively) warm. Water levels have gone up from their summer lows.
The best part? Fall Colors! Color in the trees, in the vegetation along the banks, reflected in the water, in ribbons of leaves floating in the current... You get the idea!
We'll meet at 1PM at Buckley's Mountainside Canoes for a shuttle to School Road and then paddle back to Buckley's. Buckley's has generously agreed to provide rentals for this trip at a greatly discounted rate! Want to bring your own boat? Buckley's will shuttle it.
Cost: $15/person (payable the day of the paddle)
Paddling Time: 2.5 - 3 hours
Preregistration is recommended but not required
