CMU Soccer/Lacrosse Complex | Central Michigan Chippewas
The Central Michigan University (CMU) Basketball Radio Show is set to air its second edition of the 2024-25 season tonight at 7 p.m. from Soaring Eagle Casino. Sponsored by Fabiano Brothers, the show will feature interviews with head men's coach Tony Barbee and assistant women's coach Chelsie Butler.
The event will be held at the Ascend Sports Bar & Lounge on the main floor of the casino, with free admission for attendees. Those unable to attend in person can listen live via the Varsity Sports Network or through the CMU Athletics app.
Hosted by Adam Jaksa, known as the Voice of the Chippewas, both coaches will discuss their teams' strategies, upcoming opponents, and recent performances. The first segment from 7-7:30 p.m. will include an interview with Butler and senior guard Jess Lawson. The following segment from 7:30-8 p.m. will feature Barbee alongside senior wing Jakobi Heady.
Both CMU basketball teams recently secured significant victories in Mid-American Conference play. The men's team defeated Eastern Michigan with a score of 82-63 at home, while the women's team won against Akron 75-55 on the road.
The full schedule for this season's radio shows includes additional dates on February 6 and March 6, all taking place at Ascend Sports Bar & Lounge.
