Central Michigan University will host its third consecutive Toilet Paper Toss game against Western Michigan in a men's basketball match on January 25 at McGuirk Arena. The event begins at 7 p.m. ET.
Tickets for the game are priced at $30 for lower bowl reserved seating, $22 for upper bowl reserved, and $15 for general admission bleacher tickets. Groups of 10 or more can purchase discounted general admission bleacher tickets at $8 each. Limited Upper Club Lounge tickets are available for $75 each, including dinner and access to a cash bar with beverages available for purchase. Tickets can be bought online, in person at Ticket Central, or by phone.
Parking passes are available in lots 62W and 62E for $10 each plus fees and can be purchased online or through Ticket Central. Prices may increase closer to the event date. Free parking is offered in Lot 64.
A total of 1,200 student tickets have been allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Students must claim their ticket through the Maroon & Gold Rewards prize store using points earned by participating in various activities. Physical student tickets can be picked up starting January 13 at Ticket Central.
The game is designated as a "White Out," encouraging fans to wear white shirts and participate in the tradition of throwing toilet paper rolls onto the court before the game starts. "We are extremely excited to bring this memorable event to our fans," said Amy Folan, Vice President/Director of Athletics at Central Michigan University.
The tradition began during the 1982-83 basketball season but was revived by CMU's athletic department in subsequent years. An iconic photograph from a February 1987 game against Western Michigan was published in People Magazine.
Central Michigan currently holds a record of five wins and four losses this season with four more home games scheduled before the Toilet Paper Toss: Cleary (Dec. 30), Ohio (Jan. 4), Eastern Michigan (Jan. 14), and Ball State (Jan. 21).
