Central Michigan University has announced its 2024 football schedule, featuring six home games at Kramer/Deromedi Field at Kelly/Shorts Stadium. The Chippewas will open their season against Central Connecticut State on Thursday, August 29. The date was moved to accommodate the Labor Day holiday weekend.

The home schedule includes a Mid-American Conference (MAC) opener against Ball State on September 21, followed by games against San Diego State on September 28, Ohio for Homecoming on October 12, Bowling Green on November 5, and Western Michigan on November 19.

In addition to the home games, Central Michigan will play six road contests. These include matches against Florida International on September 7 and Big Ten opponent Illinois on September 14. The team will also face Eastern Michigan on October 19, Miami (Ohio) on October 26, Toledo on November 12, and Northern Illinois after Thanksgiving on November 30.

Eastern Michigan and Western Michigan have been designated as Central Michigan's "protected opponents," ensuring annual matchups with both teams. The Chippewas' season features eight consecutive Saturday games before transitioning to three mid-week MACtion games.

Season tickets for the upcoming season will be available starting Monday, March 18 at 10 a.m., through Ticket Central or by contacting the CMU Athletics Ticket Office.

Six of Central Michigan's opponents from the upcoming season participated in bowl games last year: Bowling Green in the Quick Lane Bowl, Eastern Michigan in the 68 Ventures Bowl, Miami (OH) in the Cure Bowl, Northern Illinois in the Camellia Bowl, Ohio in the Myrtle Beach Bowl, and Toledo in the Barstool Arizona Bowl.

Additionally, Central Michigan's NFL Pro Day is set for March 12 at the Indoor Athletic Center's Turf Bay. Spring practice begins March 20 with further promotional details to be announced later this spring.
