Central Michigan University offers diverse sports summer camps for youth

Central Michigan University Athletics is organizing a series of youth sports camps this summer, catering to children and teenagers aged 5 to 18. These camps will be held from early June through early August and are managed by the university's athletic programs and coaching staff.

Prospective participants can find detailed information about dates and register online at www.cmuchippewascamps.com. The diverse camp offerings include several sports, providing ample opportunities for young athletes to hone their skills.

The baseball program offers three prospect camps on June 17, July 22, and a two-day session on July 24-25. Field hockey enthusiasts can attend the CMU Chippewa Summer Clinic on August 10. Football has multiple one-day position camps scheduled from June 2-9, along with a Big Man Camp on June 14.

For gymnastics, there are high-performance camps available on June 22-23 and August 3-4. Lacrosse will host a Summer Elite Camp on June 18.

Men's basketball features team camps on June 12-13, kids' camps in mid-June and late July, as well as elite camps in mid-June and early August. Soccer offers various Maroon & Gold day camps throughout June and July across different locations including Traverse City.

Softball enthusiasts can participate in pitching fundamentals, advanced pitching sessions, hitting and defensive skills training all on June 18, followed by an elite prospect camp on July 9 and a youth camp on July 10.

Volleyball includes both on-campus activities such as skills day camp at the end of June and college prep in mid-July along with satellite site camps across several cities throughout July.

Wrestling rounds out the offerings with a team camp from July 14-17.

Individuals interested in these summer activities still have time to enroll across various disciplines before they commence in the coming weeks.
