Central Michigan University's Amy Folan will continue her role on the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Committee for an additional two years, as announced by the NCAA. Folan has been a member of the committee since September 1, 2022, after being appointed to fill a vacancy. Her new term extends through the 2025-26 season.
Folan has been with Central Michigan University since October 5, 2020. Prior to this position, she worked at Texas for 17 years and served as the executive senior associate athletics director from 2012 to 2020.
"It has been a privilege to be a part of the committee, and I look forward to continuing my service," said Folan. "It's an exciting time in the game right now, and I look forward to working with my fellow committee members the next two years to move the game forward and to provide memorable championship experiences for all involved."
The NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Committee consists of athletic directors and conference commissioners from across NCAA Division I athletics. The committee is responsible for selecting and placing the 68 women's teams that earn automatic berths or invitations into the NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament each year.
