Central Michigan University (CMU) will honor six former student-athletes as inductees into the Marcy Weston CMU Athletics Hall of Fame during its annual 2024 induction ceremony. The event is scheduled for Friday evening at McGuirk Arena, beginning at 6 p.m. ET. It is free and open to the public.

The 2024 Hall of Fame Class includes Wrestling Coach Tom Borrelli (1991-2024), Gymnast Sarah Dame (2000-03), Football player Eric Fisher (2009-12), Baseball/Men's Basketball player Chad Pleiness (1999-2002), Volleyball player Kaitlyn Schultz (2008-11), and Cross Country/Track & Field Runner Ryan Watson (1999-2000).

Adam Jaksa, known as the "Voice of the Chippewas," will serve as emcee for the formal program, which will feature interviews with each inductee. CMU President Robert O. Davies and Zyzelewski Family Vice President/Director of Athletics Amy Folan are also scheduled to speak. The event will be livestreamed, and fans can follow it live on CMU's Athletic Twitter account.

In addition to Friday's ceremony, the inductees will be honored at CMU's home football game against Ball State on Saturday, Sept. 21, at Kramer/Deromedi Field at Kelly/Shorts Stadium. Kickoff for this Mid-American Conference opener is set for 1 p.m. ET.

"We are extremely proud and honored to introduce these great Chippewa athletes into our hall of fame," said Folan. "Each inductee had a fantastic collegiate career at Central Michigan; not only as athletes but as students as well. This group represents the best of all Chippewa athletes."

The inductees were announced in a press release on June 18, 2024.
