Niles FD to Host EMT Training Course

The City of Niles Fire Department will host an Emergency Medical Technician Training Course from October 25, 2022 to March 28, 2023 Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00pm-10:00pm and Saturdays from 9:00am-1:00pm.  This course is approved by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and is put on by phenomenal instructors!  Upon arrival at 1345 E Main, attendees will learn all about basic anatomy, patient assessment, basic life support, and so much more.  Those who complete the course will be eligible for the National Registry Exam & State Licensing. 

EMS, police, fire, or military personnel must pay $1,500.00 to cover the cost of books and tuition.  Any course participants who are not EMS, police, fire, or military personnel must pay $1,750.00.  Payment is due no later than October 23, and payment plans are available upon request.

Prerequisites:

  • 18 years of age (or be 18 prior to licensing exam)
  • Current CPR Certification within 6 months
  • First Aid Training desirable
  • Negative TB skin test of chest x-ray within one (1) year of ending date of class
  • Proof of Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination form
Applications for the course must be received no later than October 18.  Adequate enrollment must be ensured to conduct the course.  Admission is granted on a first-come, first-served basis.  Please assume you are enrolled in the class unless you are notified to the contrary.
