Grant Public School District issued the following announcement on Jan 15.

What is it? A curriculum-based, after-school character development program designed for 3rd – 5th grade girls of ALL fitness and ability levels. The 8-week curriculum attempts to help each girl find and stay true to her REAL self. Groups of 6 to 15 girls meet twice a week (Mondays and Thursdays from 3:15 - 4:30 at the middle school) with their trained, volunteer coaches to discuss important life lessons while playing fun running games. The program emphasizes independent thinking, making healthy choices, healthy group dynamics peer support and problem solving. The program finishes with the girls participating in a non-competitive celebratory 5k.

• Registration is based on household income and ranges from $15-$125. All families have the opportunity to apply for financial aid within the online program registration form.
