Baldwin Community Schools issued the following announcement on Nov 13.
Veterans Day looked slightly different at Baldwin Elementary School this year. Instead of an in-person ceremony, students performed various musical and spoken word tributes to our area veterans and compiled them into a virtual presentation.
Students in grade levels 2-5 learned about the origin and significance of Veterans Day in Mrs. Sherlock's music class, and discussed the five branches of the military, why veterans are honored and why this tradition is continued. They then rehearsed and performed a variety of patriotic pieces. Fifth graders rehearsed and performed readers theater presentations.
