Chippewa Hills School District issued the following announcement on Sept 9.
It is great remorse that we are cancelling this Friday's varsity football game against Grant. With the weather and power outages impacting the ability to host practices and the impact quarantine has had on the availability of current varsity players, it is in the best interest of the remaining players (some being JV that would have to start a varsity game) to make this difficult decision. This conclusion was reached collaboratively by the administration, athletic department and coaches. We are hopeful that this recovery week will allow us to get back to a more normal number of athletes and the ability to practice in preparation for the September 10 game. Your understanding and support is appreciated as we look forward to cheering our Warriors on in the very near future.
