Rep. Jason Wentworth (R-Farwell) attended Farwell Area Schools' groundbreaking ceremony in October, according to a Facebook post from the Michigan legislator.
According to Wentworth, the bond levy that passed for the school's expansion was focused on crucial improvements for the school's faculty and student body, including increased security and safety measures, improved classrooms and general fund protections.
"These changes, although we won't be able to see them all, are necessary infrastructure and updates that will greatly improve each of the buildings," said Rep. Wentworth in the Facebook post.
Wentworth said he wanted to give thanks to the people who ensured that the bond proposal for the school's updates passed, including Farwell Superintendent of Schools Steve Scoville.
"I am proud of the hard work and support of the community to pass this bond proposal, and I look forward to seeing the improvements that will take place in all three buildings," Wentworth wrote on Facebook.
Updates from Farwell Community Schools can be viewed at Farwell Area Schools website.
