Cost of college went up for all students at Ferris State University

Tuition and fees rose 1.4 percent for 2018-19 at Ferris State University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Michigan students paid $11,788 to attend the four-year public institution this year – $11,788 more than the $0 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 97 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 1,678 students received grants or scholarships totaling $15.7 million and 1,212 students took out student loans totaling more than $9.1 million.

Including all undergraduates (13,250), 8,702 students used grants or scholarships totaling $70.1 million, and 7,005 students took out $51.8 million in federal student loans.
