State Representative Joseph Fox, a Republican from Fremont, led the Michigan House of Representatives in acknowledging Holy Week on Wednesday. Holy Week is a significant observance for Christians around the world. The commemoration begins on Palm Sunday, April 13, 2025, and concludes on Easter, April 20, 2025.

During his speech on the House Floor, Fox stated, “Today I humbly rise to commemorate Holy Week in the state of Michigan. This week we remember the celebration of the Triumphal Entry, the institution of the Lord’s Supper, which grew from the roots of Hebrew Passover, the Agony of the Garden of Gethsemane, and the horror of the hill called Golgotha, and the anticipation of the Resurrection. In the midst of all that we recall during this week. My personal humility is trivial in the light of the intense illumination of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth.”

Joseph Fox has a background as a Christian school teacher and principal and is an ordained pastor and missionary.
