The City of Fremont has announced that winter parking restrictions will be in effect starting December 1 and continuing through April. According to the Fremont City Code of Ordinances, Section 12-15, “No person shall park any motor vehicle upon any of the public streets and alleys within the corporate limits of the City between the hours of 2:00 AM and 6:00 AM at any time during the months commencing December 1 and ending on the next ensuing April.” The city states that these restrictions are necessary to allow for snow plowing operations throughout the winter.

Additionally, residents are reminded that a drop-box is available at the northwest exit from the city parking lot for submitting City payments, although cash should not be deposited.

Vicci L. TerVeer, City Clerk, provided this information to help ensure compliance with seasonal regulations.
