In the week ending Mar. 7, one gas station in Oceana County sold midgrade gas at the lowest reported price of $3.79 per gallon, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
The average reported price of midgrade gas across the county was $3.94 per gallon.
Of the 21 reported gas stations located within Oceana County, two offered midgrade gas.
Across Michigan, the average reported price for a gallon of midgrade gas rose to $3.71, compared to the week before.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration expects global oil stockpiles to keep growing into 2026, a trend that could weigh on crude prices in the near term.
